Mariyaan (English: The Man Who Never Dies) is an upcoming 2013 Tamil drama thriller film directed by film maker Bharat Bala. The film stars actor Dhanush in the lead role with Parvathi Menon and Salim Kumar, both forming part of main cast. Produced by Venu Ravichandran, it music and background score composed by A. R. Rahman and cinematography by Marc Koninckx. The film revolves around story of human survival adapted from a newspaper article of real-life crisis event of three oil workers from India being kidnapped and taken hostage in Sudan. The film is an emotional journey of a common man to an unknown place with the hope to come home and lead a better life.
