Annanagar Mudhal Theru is a 1987 Tamil film starring Sathyaraj, Radha, Ambika, Janagaraj, Raghuvaran and Manorama. Prabhu makes an extended cameo appearance. The film was a remake of the 1986 Malayalam film Gandhinagar 2nd Street starring Mohanlal and Karthika directed by Sathyan Anthikad.

Story :
Sathyaraj and Radha are in love with each other, but due to misunderstanding they separate, Sathyaraj with the help of Janagaraj joins the colony where Radha lives as Watchman. Ambika stays with her child, Her Husband Prabhu works abroad. Sathyaraj helps Ambika in the daily chores and gets close with her child. Meanwhile people in the colony speak bad about Ambika and Sathyraj, on returning what Prabhu does to them and whether Radha and Sathyaraj unites form the rest of the story.
