Vaani Rani is remake of hindi film Seetha Aur Geeta, Hema Malini in dual role. In this film Vanisri did dual role in the film. Vaani and Rani are twin girls who were separated at birth. Rani, a feisty girl is raised in apoor neighborhood and is a street performer, while Vaani is raised by her cruel aunty and meek uncle. How both get reunion is form the film. Sivaji romance with Vaani and Muthuraman romance with Rani. K.A.Thangavelu placed for comedy. K.V.Mahadevan composed songs for this film. C.V. Radhakrishnan directed and released in 1974
